Millennials, by numbers
The term “Millennial” is used to describe 18-34 year olds, also known as Gen Y and more recently as the “Me Me Me generation”. But what’s all the hype about? First and foremost, there’s a lot of us. Over 80 million in the US to be exact. But more importantly, people and companies are struggling to make sense of how we consume, work, invest, and connect. We’ve grown up as digital natives, causing the divide between us and previous generations to be exaggerated. We are the most diverse and educated generation in history, with a strong desire to make a difference. We trust our peers above all else and are willing to share almost anything online even with people we’ve never met. We live in a digital world, yet crave human engagement. We embrace uncertainty. We are the Millennials.
